Terms of Service

Last updated: August 20, 2026

By using the Tawked platform you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully before creating an account or using the API.

The service

Tawked delivers one-time passcodes, verification codes, and transactional notifications to customers in Saudi Arabia over two channels: SMS, and the WhatsApp Business Platform. Both are reached through the same simple API, with a prepaid credit balance debited for each message when it is sent.

Registration and account approval

All new accounts go through a manual review before activation, to verify the application identity and prevent impersonation. The information you provide at signup, meaning the application name, business activity and logo, must be accurate and genuinely yours.

We may reject, suspend, or ban any account that violates these terms or is used in a way that harms end users or the platform's reputation.

Acceptable use

The platform is for sending verification codes that the end user actually requested, such as a sign-in or a transaction confirmation. Using it to send marketing or unsolicited messages, or any content that violates the laws of Saudi Arabia, is strictly prohibited.

You must obtain valid opt-in from every recipient before any message is sent to them, and be able to show us the record of that opt-in on request.

When you send over the WhatsApp Business Platform you must also comply with the WhatsApp Business Messaging Policy and Meta's applicable terms and policies. Violating them may result in suspension or termination of your account, with or without notice.

You are responsible for keeping your API keys secure. Any usage made with your keys is considered yours.

Credits and pricing

The service is prepaid: you top up a balance and the price of each code is debited per channel when it is sent. Prices shown on the pricing page may be updated; any change applies only to usage after the change.

If a send is refused or fails, the amount is refunded to your balance automatically. Credits are not transferable to another party.

Limitation of liability

We make commercially reasonable efforts to keep the service available and deliveries fast, but message delivery depends on telecom networks and providers and can be affected by factors outside our control. The service is provided as is, without express or implied warranties, and our liability is in all cases limited to the value of your paid balance.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and its courts have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
