What is Tawked?

Tawked is a Saudi platform for SMS OTP verification, WhatsApp notifications from your business number and customer service in a shared team inbox. Tawked works with WooCommerce, Supabase and any site or app through its API, and its apps for Salla and Zid stores are coming soon. Tawked Email, in early access, sends a business's mail from its own domain.

Does the SMS carry my company name?

Yes, in the text: every code names your reviewed application, for example "Your Noor Store verification code is: 482913". It comes from Tawked's sender ID, so there is nothing to register.

How much does sending SMS cost?

0.09 SAR per SMS sent, from prepaid credit, counted once the SMS network accepts it. A message the network refuses, or that fails to send, is refunded at once. No contract, no yearly plan.

Do I need to install SMS software?

No. Tawked works over an API, so any app or website can send SMS online without installed software.

Is the SMS service built for Saudi Arabia?

Yes. It serves Saudi mobile numbers starting with 05, normalized automatically to the international +9665 format.

Can I buy SMS credits without a subscription?

Yes. Top up prepaid credit and buy only the SMS you need, with no fixed bundles.

Is Tawked an official WhatsApp Business API provider?

Tawked is a Meta Tech Provider: you connect your own number to the WhatsApp Business API through Meta's Embedded Signup. The number and its WhatsApp Business Account stay yours, and Meta bills its charges to that account directly.

Can I send WhatsApp campaigns and offers to my customers?

Yes, to the customers who agreed to hear from you, with a marketing template Meta approves that your system sends through the API like any template. Anyone who turned off your offers inside WhatsApp is skipped automatically, and their order messages keep coming.

Does Tawked work with my Salla or Zid store?

Soon, through two apps for Salla and Zid. The Tawked app for Salla sends your store's customers order, shipping and abandoned-cart notifications on WhatsApp, from your store's number, and awaits its listing on the Salla App Store. The Tawked app for Zid asks cash-on-delivery customers to confirm their order with a button, sends order updates and abandoned-cart reminders, and awaits its listing on the Zid App Market. Each app costs 49 SAR a month before VAT, billed through Salla or Zid.

Is there a Tawked plugin for WooCommerce?

Yes. The Tawked plugin for WooCommerce is free, and it brings phone sign-in beside the password, a code before cash on delivery, and WhatsApp order updates from your store's number. You download it from its page on Tawked, and codes are charged at the Tawked Verify price.

Can I use Tawked for Supabase phone sign-in?

Yes. Tawked connects to Supabase Auth as its Send SMS hook: Supabase makes and checks the code, Tawked delivers it by SMS to Saudi mobile numbers, and signInWithOtp and verifyOtp stay as they are.

What do WhatsApp notifications and Tawked Chat cost?

Tawked charges nothing for now for WhatsApp template messages, utility or marketing, and Meta bills its own charges to you directly at its published rates, your replies included after each number's first 1,000 free replies a month. Tawked Chat is included with your connected number, with no price per member.

Does Tawked have an AI assistant that answers customers?
