WhatsApp Business API providers in Saudi Arabia 2026: prices compared

Compare WhatsApp Business API providers in Saudi Arabia by monthly fee, fee per message, Meta's rates and inbox, Tawked at SAR 0.00 among them, with sources.

Who this is for

You run a Saudi store, clinic or app and want to send WhatsApp notifications to your customers from your own number: order confirmations, shipping updates, appointment reminders. Tawked is one of the options. Tawked Notifications is a WhatsApp Business API service for Saudi businesses from Tawked (توكيد), a Meta Tech Provider: your systems send Meta-approved WhatsApp messages to your customers from your business's own number, with one API call. No subscription and no monthly fee: Tawked charges 0.00 SAR per WhatsApp message today. Meta bills its own rates to your WhatsApp Business Account directly, and Tawked adds nothing to them.

This is the comparison we wished existed when we looked for one: every number comes from the provider's own public page, with the date we checked it. Tawked sits in the table with everyone else, and we say plainly where other providers offer more than we do.

The short answer

  • Meta's fee per message is the same whoever you use. To a Saudi number, Meta's calculator lists SAR 0.2159 for a marketing message and SAR 0.0401 for a utility, authentication or service message (checked 2026-10-16). What differs between providers is what they add on top.
  • Providers charge in one of three ways. A monthly subscription: SAR 220 to 950 a month at the Saudi gateways, USD 79 to 499 at Unifonic and the global inbox platforms, with smaller entry plans at Watily (SAR 32), SleekFlow (USD 49) and ChatDaddy (USD 59). A fee on every message: Twilio USD 0.005, Gupshup USD 0.001. A fee per number: 360dialog EUR 49 a month.
  • Tawked is the only provider we found with no subscription, no fee per number and SAR 0.00 per message today. Its team inbox, Tawked Chat, is included for up to 20 members with no seat fee.
  • Salla and Zid have WhatsApp features of their own. Salla Chat sends WhatsApp notifications from a points balance, which comes to about 6.7% above Meta's SAR rates by our arithmetic. Zid WhatsApp is free on Zid's Professional plan and SAR 109 a month on the others.
  • Check who owns the WhatsApp Business Account and who Meta bills. A provider that re-bills Meta's fees from its own balance can add a margin you will not see in the price table.

Where Tawked fits

What Tawked Notifications does today: your system sends an approved template with one call to POST /v1/whatsapp/messages and gets each status back in a signed webhook (the WhatsApp API guide, and the reference at docs.tawked.com). A WooCommerce store sends order updates with the free Tawked plugin, with no code. AI assistants such as ChatGPT and Claude can work on your templates and messages through Tawked's MCP server. Customers' replies land in Tawked Chat, on the web, iPhone and Android. The number and its WhatsApp Business Account sit in your own business portfolio. Every fee is listed on the WhatsApp page and in the WhatsApp API pricing guide.

The limits, plainly. The Tawked app for Salla is available today: install it from its link on the Salla App Store, one plan at SAR 49 a month billed by Salla. The app for Zid is waiting for its listing on the Zid App Market; a Zid store that wants a no-code app today should look at Zid WhatsApp or an app already listed there. Tawked has no no-code chatbot builder and no multichannel inbox for Instagram, Messenger or email, which platforms like WATI, respond.io and SleekFlow sell. And Tawked sends to Saudi mobile numbers only.

Meta's rates for a Saudi number

Meta charges for each message it delivers, by the message's category and the customer's country. For a Saudi number:

Category SAR USD
Marketing 0.2159 0.0576
Utility 0.0401 0.0107
Authentication 0.0401 0.0107
Service (a reply inside the 24-hour window) 0.0401 0.0107

Source: Meta's pricing calculator on whatsappbusiness.com, checked 2026-10-16. The marketing rate has applied since 2026-10-01. Since 2026-10-01 Meta also charges the replies a business sends inside the customer service window, at the utility rate, and the first 1,000 replies a month are free on each number (Meta's FAQ, Meta's page on messages inside the window). Meta lowers the utility and authentication rates for large monthly volumes. A message your customer sends you costs nothing.

What the table does not show

Who Meta bills. Meta either bills its fees to your own WhatsApp Business Account, from a card you add, or the provider pays Meta and re-bills you from a balance, a bundle or points. The second way is where a margin can hide, because the price per message you see is the provider's, not Meta's. Ask for Meta's rate and the provider's rate side by side.

Who owns the number and the account. The WhatsApp Business Account should sit in your own business portfolio, so that the number, its display name, its quality rating and its approved templates stay with you if you leave the provider. Ask what happens to them when you cancel.

Meta's API or a QR code. Some platforms also offer to connect a number by scanning a QR code, the way WhatsApp Web links a phone. That connection is not Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform: it has no approved templates and no delivery statuses from Meta, and a number that sends automated messages that way risks being restricted by WhatsApp. Make sure the plan you pay for uses Meta's official API.

Seats. Most inbox plans include a few users and charge for each extra one, from USD 12 to USD 109 a month in the table above. Count your team before you compare.

Minimum periods and setup fees. Several of the lowest prices above are billed yearly or every three months, and some providers charge for setup. Read the billing period next to the price.

A "green badge" in a package. Meta alone grants the Official Business Account checkmark, which is now blue, after its own review. No provider can include it in a price.

What to check before you sign up

  1. Who does Meta bill? Your own WhatsApp Business Account directly, or the provider's balance?
  2. What is the monthly fee, and for how long must you pay it? Look for yearly billing behind a monthly figure.
  3. Is there a fee per message or per number? Add it to Meta's rate for the message mix you will send.
  4. Who owns the number and the WhatsApp Business Account? Both should stay yours when you leave.
  5. Is it Meta's official API only? A QR-code connection is not.
  6. Can you write templates in Arabic, and is support available in Arabic?
  7. Does it work with your store? Check for a listed Salla or Zid app, or a WooCommerce plugin, and its own monthly fee.
  8. How many inbox seats are included, and what does each extra seat cost?
  9. Is there an API with webhooks for delivery statuses? You need them to know a message arrived.
  10. What are Meta's sending limits for a new business? Meta starts a new business portfolio at 250 customers a day outside a customer service window and raises it to 2,000 once it verifies the business; no provider can lift that for you.
